Many design and building companies apparently offer "Free design work". In reality, the design fee is actually built into the price that they quote for the build project. At Adams Garden Design, we believe that it is financially fairer, on the client, to put the work out to tender to (usually) three contractors. It is then up to you, the client, to choose which company you want to build your garden.

This is a process that we can oversee. We will produce a full 'specification of works' for the contractor, provide the contractor with copies of all plans and meet with them on site to discuss the works required. We will then invite each contractor to bid for the project and all bids would be sent directly to yourselves to make the final decision.

You, the client, know what you want. We, the designers know what we want, but the contractor may wish to cut corners to save time and money. By project managing the construction, we can ensure that all the works are carried out to the specifications given to the contractor.
