1. THE INITIAL CONSULTATION ….Can last up to two hours!
During this time, I will run through a comprehensive questionnaire in order to ascertain exactly what it is that you want from your new garden... and, just as importantly, what you don't want. I will also photograph the site, test the soil pH and discuss the budget for the project build.
The fee will be $150 and will be payable at the end of the consultation. Should you prefer to receive advice about your renovation or new build, I can prepare a report recommending alterations and improvements to your garden. This will not include plans or specific plants recommendations. My fee for an ‘Advice Report’ will be $350. Should you commissionus to produce a full garden design, $150 will be refunded against the final design fee payment.
2. FEE NOTIFICATION AND SURVEY
It is likely that I will be able to quote you a fee for a full design at the end of my visit. This will be confirmed, in writing, after the consultation. This confirmation will also specify what is included in the fee. A 40% deposit will be payable at this stage. A site survey may be necessary, if you do not have house and site plans. If the property is recently built, you may already have a site survey plan. If so, this will save us both time, and will save you money
If there is no survey plan, and the site is small, I can survey it myself. Large sites, say in excess of 4,000 sq metres, may require the services of a professional surveyor.
My survey fees are $75 per hour, to include travelling time and drawing of the survey plan. Survey fees are due on the day that the survey is carried out.
